Mothstar stood in camp, Boulderclaw next to her. The old deputy was nearly ready to retire. Mothstar had just received her lives less than a week ago. The creamy-white leader moved through the camp silently. Since Hawkstar had passed in the battle with BayClan. Boulderclaw ruffled his pelt before he moved to head to warriors den, to gather some warriors for the afternoon patrols. Meanwhile, Cavernsong had just come back from gathering herbs and now sat in her den sorting them. My name is Lord Voldemort 03:12, June 29, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang appeared from the warriors den, stretching in the sunlight. She blinked sleep from her eyes and gazed around the clearing, feeling the same familiar shiver go down her spine when she looked at her Clanmates. It had always been like this from the day she was found as a kit alone in the snow near the border. She was loyal to her Clan, but she never felt she could fully trust them. Were they planning to do something terrible? Who was lying and who was telling the truth? Could anyone be trusted? The only one to trust is yourself, she told herself, the memory replaying in the back of her head; the scent of iron tinging the crisp winter air, and a figure looming over her mother's body. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 16:28, July 16, 2018 (UTC) Mothstar dipped her head to Boulderclaw at his words. "I think its time, Mothstar. I'd love to serve beside you but I feel I am too old to do so anymore." The old deputy said, his blue eyes shining solemnly. "Of course, Boulderclaw. I'll announce it at once." The creamy-white she-cat replied in a soft whisper. She'd need to name a new deputy. Talonfang seems like a loyal warrior, although she hasn't had an apprentice yet. She could always mentor Lilyclaw's when they were born. My name is Lord Voldemort 10:49, July 18, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang spotted Boulderclaw and Mothstar together and padded over, giving them a friendly nod. She wanted to be friendly, and she knew she pulled it off, but something deep in her still felt odd doing it. As if it might be wrong. Talonfang didn't know why she felt she couldn't trust them. They'd been nothing but kind to her - they praised her constantly, and rescued her when she was a kit, took her in... She had just stopped asking the question long ago. She assumed it was probably just her instinct, because she knew she could trust them, she just couldn't feel it... it was confusing. "Any patrols I could join?" she asked. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 05:11, July 20, 2018 (UTC) Mothstar nodded to Boulderclaw who gave Talonfang a friendly smile. "Patrols will head out after Mothstar's announcement. He nodded to the creamy-white she-cat who was just getting ready to announce the Clan. She leapt atop her rock, calling out to the cats below her. "May all cats old enough to gather prey hear my words. It is time that Boulderclaw retires to the elders den, therefore a new deputy will be picked and I say these words before StatClan so they may approve. The new HoneyClan deputy will be Talonfang!" The creamy leader called out. The Clan seemed to fall quiet before they cheered her name as well as Boulderclaw's as a new elder. My name is Lord Voldemort 06:56, July 20, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang wasn't sure what she felt. She didn't feel surprised, yet at the same time she wasn't expecting this. A part of her had always wanted to be deputy. That dream had come true. "I accept. Thank you, Mothstar," she said, lifting her head high as her Clanmates cheered her and Boulderclaw's names. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 17:52, July 20, 2018 (UTC) Mothstar nodded and let the Clam quiet before she leapt down. Her tail swishing the dirt into the air. The creamy-white she-cat moved her eyes through the crowd before they landed on Talonfang. She would make a good deputy. She had the heart to lead. My name is Lord Voldemort 18:38, July 20, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang made her way over to Mothstar and dipped her head to the leader. "Thank you for making me your deputy," she mewed, brightly. "I'll do my best at serving the Clan." She blinked thoughtfully. "What should I do first?" Talonfang had watched Boulderclaw do his duties before, but she was still young. Was that everything that needed to be done, or was there more too it? —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 19:11, July 20, 2018 (UTC) Mothstar gave Talonfang a smile. "I'd suggest arranging patrols, the dawn patrol got back nearly an hour ago. Border patrols as well, maybe send off mentors to train with their apprentices. And don't forget tonight is a Gathering." The creamy-white leader said. My name is Lord Voldemort 20:48, July 20, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang nodded, feeling mildly excited about the Gathering. "I'll get right on that, I can assign a hunting patrol and go on it," she murmured, almost more to herself then her leader, then padded away to sort the patrols. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 23:36, July 21, 2018 (UTC) Mothstar nodded. The creamy leader had already decided who she was bringing on the patrol with her. It wohld consist of Boulderclaw, Talonfang, and Cavernsong. That's all she needed at the gathering. My name is Lord Voldemort 09:05, July 22, 2018 (UTC) "Jaystorm, can you lead out a hunting patrol? Cherryflight can go with you, and I'll join too," Talonfang had sorted out the patrols, already feeling very comfortable in her new place. I wonder when I'll have an apprentice. It was strange Mothstar picked an unseasoned warrior to help lead her Clan. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 00:14, July 24, 2018 (UTC) Jaystorm cast Talonfanga sharp glance. Why had she been picked? She wasn't even Clanborn! He thought angrily, he lashed his tail and moved past the mottled deputy. Cherryflight glanced up as her name was spoken. She dipped her head before she gave her pelt a quick once over before following Jaystorm outbof camp. My name is Lord Voldemort 17:16, July 24, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang picked up on Jaystorm's hostility, but she made no reaction and followed as he led the way out of camp. Of course there were cats who trusted Talonfang, Mothstar obviously did. But still, after her moons of living in HoneyClan, there were still a few cats who seemed to question her. Jaystorm appeared to be one of those cats. For not being Clan-born. She remembered some of the cats spoke when they didn't think she could hear them, saying how odd it was for a loner kit to have a Clan name. Maybe she was a Clan cat after all. Why was mother living on her own, fearing everything around her then? —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 13:00, July 26, 2018 (UTC) Jaystorm pricked his eyes as Talonfang turned to look at him. Hm.. Why should she be the one being deputy? She'd barely mentored a single apprentice. The warrior turned on his paws, to slink towards the exit; several warriors joining him. Their murmurs seemed to be the same as his thoughts. How could Talongfang be a deputy? A leader? My name is Lord Voldemort 04:59, September 28, 2018 (UTC) Talonfang followed Jaystorm, lagging behind. She could almost feel his thoughts stabbing at her. Why am I deputy... they wonder. Perhaps I am the only future HoneyClan has. They do not see it yet. One day. They will know. They will understand and follow me. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 00:05, September 29, 2018 (UTC) |
